Mark has climbed extensively in the UK and Europe and made numerous trips to Canada as well as the USA and New Zealand. Mark is the course director, responsible for organising and delivering Switchback courses and individual coaching. Mark is Single Pitch Award (SPA) & Mountain Leader (ML) qualified.

Chris loves a bit of adventure in the mountains and is equally at home doing some wild winter route in Scotland or some technical rock route in the 'pass. He's been climbing for over 10 years and holds the Mountain Instructor Award (MIA). Chris is a freelance instructor for Switchback.

Simon has worked professionally in adventure activities for over fifteen years. Fully qualified to teach caving and mountaineering, Simon holds the Cave Instructors Certificate, the summer, winter and international mountain leader awards and the Mountaineering Instructors Award (MIA). Although caving and climbing are his technical specialties Simon loves outdoor work - from leading up big rock faces to a windy day on the hills teaching navigation or winter skills through to leading wet and wild canoe & kayak sessions... Simon is a freelance instructor for Switchback.
